Raiven Allen

Having worked for the City of Bullard since June 2021, Raiven says her favorite things about her job are, “Planning events and seeing the final product always excites me but getting to serve the community that my family & I grew up in, must be my favorite thing about my job. My Grandparents loved this town, and they instilled that in all of us, so getting to show that love through my work every day -  it’s my dream job.” 

If she had to pick one thing that makes her successful in her role, it would be, “The people behind the scenes - the people that I am lucky enough to work with every day, the people in the community that I know I can count on, the support from the community as a whole, and the support from my family. These are the main components of my success, for sure.” She also says, since stepping into the position, she has learned A LOT but learning how to handle last minute changes and how to better manage being pulled in many different directions at once, have been the most valuable.

Some fun tidbits about Raiven:

• Born & raised in Bullard, TX (Class of 2011) & Graduate Texas State University (Eat ‘Em Up!
• Recently celebrated her 2-year anniversary with Husband, Ryon & they’re down time consists of hanging out with their 3 pups – Bodie (German Shepard/Husky), Ally (Pit/Boxer), & Biscuit Murphy (Golden Retriever)

The best piece of advice she has ever been given was:

• “Choose the career that is fulfilling & makes you happy, no matter what you have to put into it.”
• “Never assume.”
• “Don’t be afraid to take up space.”

Raiven says the part of her daily routine that she looks forward to the most are her (sometimes multiple) Starbucks runs and talking to her mom!
