In the Spring of 2014, the City of Bullard began to start planning for the construction of a new well, to help better accomodate for the growrth that the city was about to retain. After a year of planning and preperation, in the spring of 2015, the design for the well was completed. The plans of the design were rigorously sought through, and the construction began in September of 2015. This will be 7th well for the City of Bullard. We had created a 1200ft deep well, that holds approximately 864,000 gallons of water at one time. Just like all the other wells in Bullard, it pulls water from the Charrizo Wilcox Aquifer. With the creation and addition of this new well, we will be able to significantly decrease the number of water restrictions that the City of Bullard has to place on the community. It will allow us to provide a better quality of water than we already are for our citizens, by eliminating the need for an older well higher in iron on a daily usage. After 3 years of planning, designing, and constructing, and approximately 1.5 million dollars later, this new well is set to go online September of 2017.
